I’d like to be reminded of a place where I had a lot of money, but that’s not going to happen so I’ll settle for nostalgia!
Day 6 – A Film That Reminds You Of Somewhere
The Land Before Time (1988, Don Bluth)
An odd choice perhaps, but when I watch The Land Before Time I am reminded of the house I grew up in. The Land Before Time was one of the first movies I watched when I moved into that house, and every time I watch it I am reminded of the newness of that house and the years that were to follow in that house. It wasn’t a big house, but it was my house, it wasn’t an apartment, it wasn’t just a living space, I finally had a home. The Land Before Time isn’t the most remarkable movie, it’s certainly not the best from Don Bluth, but it’s a good movie and it always reminds of that small house in Berkeley, Illinois where I played out my adolescent years.
Cheers,
Bill
