30 Day Film Challenge: Day 8 – The Film You Can Quote Best: Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy (2004)

If my dog ate a whole wheel of cheese I too would think it amazing, my fiancee, not so much!

Day 8 – The Film You Can Quote Best

Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy (2004, Adam McKay)

Yes, I will admit to all of you that I am one of those people who quotes comedies to death. I have never in my life quoted a movie as much and for as long of a time as I have Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy. To this day I still fall back to sayings like, “Hey, Aqualung,” and “it works 60% of the time, all the time.” I can quote Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy every day and never get tried of it, even as I’m sure others get tired of me quoting it. This is only possible because of how uproariously funny Adam McKay’s film is and how funny the entire cast is in the film. By the beard of Zeus, I can quote this movie to no end.

Cheers,
Bill

  1. Oh, that is such a quotable film. For me,it’s “Coming to America”.

“You must be outta yo’ goddamn mind! Joe Louis is the greatest boxer that ever lived. He was bad as Cassius Clay! He was bad as Sugar Ray! He was bad ass… who dat new boy? Mike Tyson! Makes him look like a bulldog!”

    “What about Rocky Marciano?”

“Oh, there they go, there they go. Everytime I starts talking about boxing. A white man has to pull out Rocky Marciano out of their ass. That they want, that they want. Rocky Marciano! Rocky Marciano! Now Rocky Marciano was good but compared to Joe Lewis. Rocky Marciano ain’t shit!”

  2. I’ve never actually seen Coming To America, I plan to in the future, it’s in my queue.
