So great I didn’t eve realize she was a Brit for a long time, or maybe that just makes me stupid!
Day 10 – A Film With Your Favorite Actor (Female)
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (2004, Michel Gondry)
This is the movie that allowed me to fall in love with Kate Winslet. She鈥檚 one of the select few actresses who is willing to take on a role and completely inhabit that role regardless of what it does to her image. Her career has been varied but no movie allowed her to show off all her various talents at one time, at least until Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind came into existence. Miss Winslet has moments of subtle emotion, loud outbursts, introspection, anger, sadness, and everything else under the stars. As the movie changes moment after moment so does Miss Winslet鈥檚 character, she is always right in step with how quiet or crazy Michel Gondry needs her to be. She may have had roles where she was sexier, she may have had roles where she was more logical, but Kate Winslet has never had a role where she was more complete as an actress.
Cheers,
Bill
Of all the films and projects Kate Winslet has done, this is my all-time favorite performance from her. She seems to be having a great time, looking great in weird costumes while flashing some panties. She is so much fun in this film. She should’ve won the Oscar that year.
I’m not sure who she lost to, but it’s a great performance, I obviously love it. 馃檪
